It was (is) payday weekend and boyfriend also got his leave conversions, having turned one year as an employee of the company. This meant shopping for us both. :)
I got a pair of jeans and a polo shirt top, boyf got pants too. We also got a blouse as a belated birthday gift for her mom.
I have a Multiply account that is mostly used to access friends' Multiply pages, and the online stores that abound there. I saw this high havs that I wanted to order, and checkered wedges. I was already determined to purchase them, until I saw alternatives at the mall.
The pumps really looked like the one on the online store, except for the print. It's about 110 pesos cheaper though. :) The havs I wanted from the online shop had a different color. It was good that Rustan's had stocks of that one because I was able to see that the color does not match my skintone! I got a purplish one instead and I love it! :)
I've already worn both on my weekend shifts. My feet didn't hurt despite having to walk around a lot. Specially on Saturday night.
Aside from our stuff, we bought supplies for little Zune too. He now has his own bed!
He still doesn't sleep on it though. He sleeps next to it. He's using it like a pillow! I told boyf on Friday that we could just get him a big bone pillow since he loves his small pillow to pieces. He said no because it isn't a proper bed. So we got this one instead.
So far, he hasn't used it for actual sleeping, but he's exploring and getting more familiar with it as the days go.
When we brought it home on Saturday, the kids D and E came over and played with Zune and helped him check out the bed. E actually tried it for himself!
We had problems buying canned food for him though. For the past month, he's loved eating the canned food we got on sale from his vet, Science Diet. Since it was on sale, to clear stocks before the expiration date, we were able to buy without a problem. We still mixed it with dry food though. Now that they are out of the sale stocks, I found out exactly how expensive it's going to be to maintain him on it. So we're slowly trying other good alternatives. We'll also wean him back to having more dry food than canned, since it's more packed with protein and nutrients.
Today (saturday) was my last free day, the last day of vacation. I'd have to be back at work on Sunday evening. I'm not complaining, i'm still happy that they gave me the week off. I needed it to recharge. I didn't really get anything done, not even baking, but I was able to blog (a bit) and browse blogs, and sleep!
I don't think another week-long vacation is in the horizon, not in the next three months anyway. But that's okay, i don't have the money to spend on another vacation, not that I spent on this vacation. I just had to spend for other things.
We took Zune to the groomer's this afternoon. I have some pictures that have accumulated from since he came home, I just haven't uploaded them. I will before i get back to work tomorrow night.
for now, let me leave you with these photos that are a product of the Face Warp application on my phone :)
Here are the originals:
and here are the warped ones! My nephew spent quite sometime laughing over our pictures. The ones shown here are just samples, there are others. Last night, he kept on asking me warp everyone else's face! hehe :)
This was a video i edited to combine two separate videos I took of my niece and nephew singing/dancing to the same song. It was the Christmas song for the kids for the past season, and they must have sung it so many times during that last week of 2006.
when i was growing up, singing was an everyday activity. naturally, when the younger generation came, singing also became part of their lives. we are not really a family of musicians, i guess our culture just predisposes us to a love of music and of singing most of all.
i took this video in early 2005, if not December 2004.
i heard my nieces voices outside our door, singing their then favorite song. i opened the door and was amused to see them holding those badminton rackets poised as guitars! i couldn't let it pass without a photo! i ended up catching this video:
