my iPod is already in dog heaven.

i didn't really get to say goodbye. and i didn't see him anymore. and i couldn't give him a proper memorial.

i don't know, maybe it hasn't really sinked in yet. i don't have anything to say. it was just so sudden. yes, he was sick. but he's been sick before, and we made it through. and he was moving around his house when i left him on my way to work. i just could not believe he's gone.

i don't know if i'd be thankful it wasn't me who found him dead. or if i should be okay with not having to be the one to take him to the animal doctors for testing to make sure he didn't die of rabies. i just don't know.

i'm not even sure i can really say goodbye now.

i was baking all night last night (no sleep here) and our oven is located outside the house, and iPod's house was in the same area. before, everytime any one of us would go out those sliding doors, we would always see him, and he'd be wagging his tail. or even roll over expecting a belly rub. when i was baking before, he'd just sit up and then watch me. seeming to wait to be given some love. last night, although i knew he wasn't gonna be there, i always, by instinct, just glance over to his usual spot. and it's empty.
