travel
So, I was really hoping that boyf and I would get to go on that day-trip or even an overnight stay in Tagaytay. Sadly, it didn't materialize. I've been wanting to go somewhere with him and we just never have the time or the resources to just get away. And then I had this brilliant idea that Tagaytay would probably be our best bet. We won't need to miss a day of work, and we won't have to spend too much money.
Unfortunately, a room in a decent place is expensive, specially on weekends. So overnight was out of the question for this time. There were other factors too. Like the fight we had on Friday night.
It was just disappointing, at that time. I mean, if we can't even go on a trip 2 hours from the Metro, how can we ever travel to anywhere farther?
Actually, i know I shouldn't read too much into it. It will happen.
We did have fun on Sunday though. Boyf slept over on Saturday night, as what he's been doing the past couple of weeks. I woke him up at around 5am (maybe a little earlier) because I've grown hungry. Some time later, my brother had just arrived home. I thought I could egg both of 'em to go out for breakfast. Turns out my big bro had just had breakfast at McDonald's and was really ready to sleep. So it was just boyf and me. We decided to walk to a 24-hour fastfood nearby, but halfway there, we decided to go someplace else, since it was already 7am at that time.
We ended up with quite an expensive breakfast at Pancake House. We were stuffed. Which was more than I can say for our wallets. Hehe.
Instead of heading straight home about an hour and a half later, we decided to walk for a bit. We went to the columbarium where my aunt's and grandma's ashes were kept. Said hi! and looked around. Wow, the garden there looked real nice and peaceful. It was beside our church too. Looked like a place where you could just go and read a book. They have benches too. Grandma's niche wasn't exactly on that garden, but I'm sure she wouldn't mind if we spent more time there. :)
We also visited another aunt who kept a canteen - Becky's Place - in my old neighborhood at the Seminary. Just bothered them for awhile. We realized we could have had breakfast there! It's just that we started talking about breakfast at 5am and I forgot that she opened at 6. We ended up eating at around 715 anyway so we really could have saved some money by just eating at her place. Next weekend then. :)
Tiendesitas was where we ended up on Sunday afternoon. I insisted on going because i wanted to look at puppy stuff. We're considering getting another one. It's been about 3 months since iPod died. I saw the treats I got from there that he so loved and missed him all over again. The way I missed him on New Year's right when the fireworks started.
Oh well. Travelling or not, I guess boyf and I will always enjoy each other's company.
